On November 10th,HSE ART GALLERY opened an exhibition showcasing pieces by second-year students of the Master’s programme in ‘Contemporary Art’ under the supervision of famous Russian artist, Vladimir Dubossarsky. A special feature of the exhibition is its sound design: all the images are accompanied by compositions of sound artists, most of whom are also students of the HSEArt and Design School. They focused on the theme of forced relationships, the impact of the pandemic on the creative process, and the mixing of art forms.

The brand design competition for the Cultural Centre at HSE’s Pokrovka complex, which started at HSE University on October 9, 2019, has entered its final stage. In the summer of 2020, the jury selected three projects for the final round, and now HSE University students and staff canvote for the winner. The finalists told HSE News Service about work on the projects and the philosophy of their brand.
Two HSE Student Teams Win Future Tech Case Championship
Future Tech, an interuniversity case championship organized by the Moscow City Innovation Agency, has announced its results. 32 university teams from eight Russian cities participated in the competition. The awarding ceremony took place at the Digital Business Space on Pokrovka.
HSE Art and Design School Students Among Winners of Arch Moscow 2020 Student Project Competition
At Arch Moscow 2020, master’s students of the HSE Art and Design School won the student project competition in the category ‘Best Architectural and Planning Solution’. In the competition, participants had to conduct a comprehensive analysis of Yauza River bank territories and propose a project for their redevelopment.
HSE University Moves All Lectures to Online Format
Starting October 26, 2020, lectures at all HSE University campuses will be held online. At the same time, the University’s buildings remain open to students and staff. Seminars will mostly remain offline. However, it is possible that some will also be transferred online.

HSE Graduate School of Business Holds Fall Career Week
The HSE Graduate School of Business Career Centre held the traditional Fall Career Week and Job Fair, which took place online for the first time. 34 companies from different business sectors (consulting, finances, IT, FMCG, retail, and telecom) participated in the event. More than 63 representatives of different companies gave talks and master classes for GSB students.
Students of HSE Graduate School of Business Win in Future Retail Challenge 2020
Students of the Master's programme in ‘Retail Management’ of the Graduate School of Business are the first Russians to win the Future Retail Challenge, an international competition in which national student teams compete. The competition is held as part of the World Retail Congress, which has been held since 2007. The winners were announced at the World Retail Awards.
