HSE Master’s Students on the Professions of the Future
Students in the Transmedia Production in Digital Industries Master’s programme have done a project on the professions of the future. Covering trends and key professions, the project helps students assess potential academic trajectories. The main part of the project is a non-fiction book ‘What’s Next? Professions of the Future’, which is based on the ‘Androids and Electric Sheep’ podcast by Forbes and X5 Group. The book has been published on the Ridero platform.

Creative Industries, Social Protection Measures, and Research Income: HSE in 2022
A regular session of the HSE Academic Council considered the key aspects of university’s operations in 2022. In particular, the business plan for 2022 and the planning period of 2023 and 2024 was approved, the decision to rename the Faculty of Communications, Media and Design to the Faculty of Creative Industries was made, and the Regulations on Organization of Interim and Ongoing Assessment of Students were approved.
Registration for International Data Analysis Olympiad Now Open
The HSE Faculty of Computer Science, Yandex, and Otkritie Bank are holding the fifth International Data Analysis Olympiad (IDAO). There will be two competition stages: the qualifying round will last from February 1 to 28, 2022, and the finals will take place from April 16-17. Registration for the event is already underway.

Students of HSE Double-Degree Programmes Top London Exams Again
The results of exams organized by the University of London (UoL) and the London School of Economics (LSE, a constituent college of UoL) have been announced. Students of HSE ICEF, the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Relations (WEIA) and the HSE Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) have achieved the highest grades in a variety of subjects and confirmed their reputation as the top representatives of international programmes. Fourteen HSE students received awards for their academic achievements.
HSE and Peking University Strengthen Scientific and Educational Ties in Mathematics
HSE University has signed a student exchange agreement with Peking University, one of China’s biggest and oldest universities. The signing took place on November 26 as part of the closing ceremony of the China-Russia Year of Scientific and Technological Innovation.
HSE Student Team Wins Grant in Masters of Hospitality Competition
The all-Russia competition, a project of the Russia — Land of Opportunities presidential platform, saw the students compete with other teams of young contestants. The team led by Alexander Aksyutin, a master’s student of the HSE Graduate School of Business, received a grant of 1.4 million Russian rubles, which the team plans to spend on a social project to promote tourism in Voronezh Oblast.
