To See by Touch: HSE Students Raise Funds for the Project ‘The World Through the Eyes of the Blind’

Students of the Bachelor's programme in Business Administration at HSE Nizhny Novgorod are implementing ‘The World Through the Eyes of the Blind’ public initiative as part of a project seminar. The students are holding exhibitions and workshops to raise funds through the crowdfunding platform Planeta.ru in order to install a radio system in a boarding school for blind and visually impaired students and to draw attention to the problems of people with visual disabilities.

University-Wide Open Day to Be Held for Prospective Students

On March 12, HSE University will hold a university-wide Open Day for prospective students of bachelor’s and specialist programmes. The event will be held in the Pokrovka Building and will feature presentations by faculties and campuses, a talk by the Admissions Office, activities from student organisations, a tour of the university’s historical buildings and much more. Those interested in attending must register in advance.

HSE Art and Design School Launches Bachelor’s Programme Based in Yerevan

In 2023, the HSE Art and Design School will launch a new international direction at its representative office in Yerevan, Armenia. Its first programme will be the Bachelor’s in Communication Design implemented jointly with the Russian-Armenian University. The programme aims to provide a unified space for those who would like to obtain an up-to-date design education taught in Russian.

HSE Student Among Winners of First Stage of City Improvement Competition

On January 30, the winners of the first stage of the City Improvement Competition were announced.One of the winners is Evgeny Shvirkov, a first-year student of the Bachelor’s in Public Administration at HSE University. Evgeny presented a project entitled ‘The Development and Improvement of the Availability of Healthcare as a Factor Improving the Quality of Russian Urban Life’. The competition was organised by VEB.RF and VK, and its academic partner was the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences.

Enrolment in undergraduate programmes is underway. International recipients of the Russian Government Scholarship can study at HSE University for free and get a place at an HSE dorm. Senanu Dekpo-Adza from Ghana and Hamisha Rijal from Nepal study at HSE University as part of the scholarship programme. In December, HSE Preparatory Year students travelled to Tula to attend an international student festival. They got to know the ancient Russian city, presented their cultures at the festival, and participated in a student concert. Students from Macedonia, Syria and China shared their impressions about the event with the HSE News Service, while Russian teacher Anastasiya Zinchenko spoke about how such trips broaden the students’ outlook on the country and make them a better team.
