HSE University has hosted the signing of cooperation agreements with two Iranian universities—Allameh Tabataba’i University (ATU) and the University of Isfahan (UI). Delegations from the universities led by ATU President Abdollah Motamedi and UI President Hossein Harsij visited HSE University and met with Rector Nikita Anisimov and staff of the HSE International Office led by Vice Rector Victoria Panova.

Fedor Shvets came to Russia from Kazakhstan, graduated from the Bachelor’s programme in Sociology and Social Informatics at HSE University in St Petersburg, and is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Population and Development at HSE University in Moscow. In an interview with the HSE News Service, he spoke about his choice of university and programme, and shared his impressions of living and studying in Moscow.

On April 9, HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod held an Open Day. In 2023, the campus offers programmes in humanities, socio-economic and computer sciences. At the open day, high school students and their parents learned about admissions to HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod and the opportunities that it offers to applicants, students, and future specialists.

The International Bachelor's in Business and Economics opened at HSE University-St Petersburg a year ago. The programme offers English-taught studies in both economics and management at the same time. It is supported by corporate partners: VK, Gazprom, Sberbank, and others. Applied Mathematics is one of the flagship educational programmes run by the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics. Anna Presnova, a lecturer at HSE University since 2018, has recently become its Academic Supervisor. She talked about the changes awaiting the programme, her personal research interests, and what it means to be a mother of two children while being involved in research, teaching and administration at the same time.

Linguatest is a multi-level test that assesses candidates’ level of proficiency in a foreign language, from elementary to advanced. Now, the results of the test are accepted when transferring elective subjects in English, as well as for internal and independent examinations in bachelor's degrees. The changes also affect admission to HSE master's and doctoral programmes: Linguatest is included in the list of certificates in a foreign language that can be presented when applying for master's and doctoral programmes starting from 2023.

The Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Technology opened at HSE University in 2019, enrolment in the first bachelor’s programme took place in 2020, and the first master’s programme was launched in 2022.
