HSE Graduate Applies Lessons to Work in Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs
Since 2008, Indra Prasetya has been working as Chief of Protocol at the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs. A graduate of Gadjah Mada University with a degree in Social and Political Science, the 33-year old native of Kebumen, Indonesia went on to spend two years in the HSE Public Policy Department studying Political Analysis and Public Policy.
Admission for Doctoral Studies Kicks Off
Applications are now being accepted for HSE doctoral programmes. The 2018 procedure is similar to that used by many international universities: exams can be sat online and in English, and HSE can now confer its own academic degrees. InfoWatch and MIEM HSE Found New Department
The Higher School of Economics and InfoWatch Group, a Russian developer of information security solutions for organizations, have announced a new Department for Organizational Information Security as part of the School of Electronic Engineering of the Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE). The decision was made by the HSE’s Academic Council and InfoWatch President, Natalya Kaspersky, has been named Head.

Major League Hacking (MLH) holds its events around the world, but this year is the first time MLH Local Hack Day is taking place in Russia thanks to the initiative of students from the Higher School of Economics. First International Data Analysis Olympiad to Be Held in Russia
The IDAO (International Data Analysis Olympiad), created by leading experts in data analysis for their future colleagues, aims to bring together analysts, scientists, professionals, and junior researchers from all over the world on a single platform. This is the first time an event of this scale will be held in Russia. The HSE Faculty of Computer Science, Yandex and Harbour. Space University organize the Olympiad with the support of Sberbank.
