HSE University and VK have announced their strategic cooperation in the field of online education. The partners plan to launch an educational platform that offers courses from leading Russian universities.

As part of an industry project organized by the association of marketing professionals and HSE University—and with the active participation of business community members—master’s students of the Retail Management and of the Marketing: Digital Technologies and Marketing Communications programmes presented their projects for addressing environmental and social problems to jurors. The work was evaluated by representatives of such major brands as MTS, Pyaterochka, VTB, McDonald’s in Russia, Unilever and others—all of which uphold ESG principles in their activities.

In April 2022, HSE University’s 'Master of Data Science’ Programme held their first online graduation ceremony in English. 17 out of the 48 students completed their studies with distinction.
New Institute of Education Master’s Programmes Win Potanin Foundation Grant Competition
The HSE University Institute of Education (IOE) will launch new courses as part of its master’s programmes in the 2022/23 academic year. They are designed to provide competencies to those either currently working or planning to work in education. The plans have already gained financial support: the Vladimir Potanin Foundation ran a grant competition in which two HSE University Institute of Education entries won grants and another made the reserve list.
St. Petersburg HSE Campus and VK Form Strategic Partnership
The HSE Campus in St. Petersburg and VK have announced a partnership to implement academic and other projects. The partners will begin by creating the International Bachelor’s in Business and Economics programme at St. Petersburg School of Business. Sergey Mardanov, VK Director of University Relations, will become the Business Director of the new programme.
HSE Students Win KHU Case Competition
Third-year students of the HSE University and Kyung Hee University double-degree programme in Economics and Politics in Asia are currently studying in South Korea. A team of students from the programme recently took part in a case competition organised by Kyung Hee University and Yuyu Pharma, a pharmaceutical company. The team won the competition and received an opportunity to implement their project when the market situation stabilises.
Three University Missions Ranks HSE University First among Russian Universities in Four Subject Rankings
HSE University took first place in four subject rankings and second place by the number of gold medals among Russian universities. The university entered the top three Russian universities by receiving nine prizes in various fields. The Three University Missions subject rankings in 29 fields of study were presented for the first time at an open meeting of the Council of the Russian Union of Rectors and the Association of Rating Makers.
Russia and Kazakhstan Strengthen Cooperation on Competition Protection
The M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University in Nur-Sultan hosted the launch of a Master's programme in ‘Competition Law’ and the presentation of the textbook ‘Competition Law and Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan’. The foreword to the textbook was written by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The discussion was moderated by Alexey Ivanov, Director of the BRICS Competition Law and Policy Centre at HSE University. A delegation from the Centre also took part in the event.
HSE University Assesses the Impact of Global Trends on Russian Education
Russian respondents positively assessed trends of co-authorship between students and teachers in the learning and teaching process, the need to ensure equal access to education for all categories of the population, and the trend towards ‘humanising’ education.
