HSE News Service talked to Tatyana Baranovskaya, Head of the Centre, and Ekaterina Kolesnikova, Head of the School of Foreign Languages, about their new programmes and the centre’s goals.

HSE University School of Art and Design in St. Petersburg and ‘Manege’ Open a Joint Exhibition
On August 14, the ‘Thirty Three Characters’ project, which was created by the HSE University School of Art and Design in St. Petersburg in partnerships with the ARKI Creative Workshop, will open at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in St. Petersburg. The project combines a series of outdoor installations dedicated to the Cyrillic alphabet.

From September 10 to October 8, the intensive educational programme U4Uonline will be held for universities that are integrating online courses from HSE University into their curricula. For the third time, the HSE eLearning Office will bring together regional universities for a professional dialogue on distance education.
Four Campuses and One Long-Awaited Headliner: HSE University-Wide Graduation to Be Held on July 3
This year for the first time in HSE history, the graduation ceremony will take place at one time for all four HSE campuses. Almost 11,000 students from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm will gather online to bid the university farewell and celebrate the next chapter in their lives.
HSE University Announces New Project Competition for Launching International Laboratories
The number of international laboratories run in cooperation with leading international scholars is set to expand at HSE University. The competition aims to support the existing and create new research teams. Applications will be accepted from July 10 to August 31, 2020.
HSE Students and Staff Can Accelerate Their Start-Ups for Free at the HSE Business Incubator
On June 23, the HSE Business Incubator will launch a new acceleration programme for business projects at the pre-seed stage (taking them from the prototype to their first sales). Start-ups developed by HSE University students and staff can participate in the programme for free.
HSE Summer University 2020 to Be Held Online
HSE Summer University will begin on July 15 this year. All courses will be taught online via Zoom. The registration deadline has been extended until July 1, 2020.
Master's Programme Applicants Can Now Register for Preliminary Interviews and Portfolio Evaluations

Telling Stories Festival to Be Held Online for the First Time
On May 15-16, 2020, Telling Stories, a communications, media, and design festival that is dedicated to ideas, innovations, and modern technology in the creative industry, will be held online. The HSE Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design is the festival organizer, and the speakers include film directors Paul W.S. Anderson and Vadim Perelman.
