HSE Online has launched the course ‘Algorithms and Data Structures–1’. Its author, and director of theCentre of Student Competitions at the Faculty of Computer Science, Mikhail Gustokashin, will teach students not only to how to solve problems offered at interviews at IT companies, but also to apply their knowledge in practice. The main skill acquired as a result of this course is the ability to write effective, working and tested code. The course is taught in Russian.

At HSE Online Day, online bachelor’s and master’s students learned more about the university environment and online social life, attended lectures on careers and skills from HSE and industry experts, and participated in a quiz by the Career Centre. The event took place on October 17.

HSE University has announced the results of its 2023/24 online admissions campaign. The university, which leads in CIS countries in terms of the number of online programmes (three bachelor’s and 18 master’s), has once again attracted the most students this year with a total of 1,750 admissions.

HSE University’s Online Campus has presented the new English-language course ‘The Digital Transformation of Business Practices in Southeast Asia’ on the National Open Education Platform. The online course by Evgeny Kanaev, one of the leading regional scientists and professor at HSE University’s Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, examines the features of business practices in Southeast Asia and the impact of digital transformation on them.

More than 200 future bachelor’s and master’s students from around the world spent the last two weeks of summer improving their mathematical knowledge and honing their problem-solving skills. The free online classes have been held for the fourth year in a row. They allow first-year students not only to succeed in their studies, research, and project activities at HSE University’s Faculty of Economic Sciences (FES), but also to quickly integrate into the international community of students, graduates, and teachers.

Admission to HSE University’s paid and online Master’s programmes continues. Representatives of the English-language programmes Applied Statistics with Network Analysis and Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development told us about how the training goes, how students practice, and what graduates get as a result. September 15 is the application deadline for HSE University’s English-taught online Master of Business Analytics programme. The programme trains a new kind of financial leader with an expanded range of competencies and skills. September 15 is the deadline to submit application documents for the Master’s in Applied Statistics with Network Analysis, Russia’s first English-language online programme in applied statistics. The HSE University programme trains specialists capable of working with data for strategising business processes and analysing the system of interactions between companies and people.
