Faculties Still Expanding at HSE
As part of organizational reform at HSE, two more ‘big’ faculties are being created – the Faculty of Economic Sciences and the Faculty of Humanities. These faculties will include educational and research divisions in their corresponding fields. Changes will also take place in the structure of HSE’s Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics.

School of Asian Studies to Become Part of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs
On May 30, 2014, the HSE Academic Council voted to open a new ‘mega department’ – the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs. The structure of this big division will include a Department of World Economy, a Department of International Affairs, and the School of Asian Studies. Sergey Karaganov will serve as Dean of the Faculty.
Yaroslav Kuzminov Confirmed as HSE Rector for the Next 5 Years
On May 28, 2014 Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed off the papers confirming that Yaroslav Kuzminov will remain in his role as Rector of the HSE for the next five years.
